Tuesday 2nd April & Thursday 4th April.

  10. 30am - 12pm

In this class children will learn about the different stages involved in making and decorating work made from clay to create x2 small pieces of pottery.

Tuesday 2nd April
Children will use the slab building technique to create their own unique bowl and name plaque. Using everyday found objects, they will learn about adding pattern and texture to clay and will explore different surface decorative techniques to add pattern and designs to their work.
Thurs 4th April
Children will use  quality coloured underglazes  to add colour to your finished work before dipping into a high temperature transparent glaze which will ensure that your work is hard wearing and durable for years ears to come.
finished work can be collected the following week or work can be posted out at a cost of €6.
Spaces are limited to x10 children so that I can give you plenty 1:1 time if needed so early booking is advised. (some spaces already taken)
Any questions please just ask.
With over 20 years of experience of teaching ceramics, I am delighted to now be in a position to offer private lessons to Adults and children so it is an exciting new venture and one that has been requested many times over the years.
This promises to be a totally immersive and relaxing experience .
Over the two days, you will learn the ancient handbuilding skills of forming and decorating ceramics. You will be amazed at what you can create from a humble ball of clay and excited to see the process of forming, decorating and glazing your work to create pieces that can be handed down as family heirlooms
